OFQUAL

Ofqual are the regulator of qualifications within the UK. Ofqual stands for the office of qualifications, examinations and assessments in England. They maintain standards and confidence in qualifications in England.They are independant of government and report directly to parliament. All the qualifications offered by PT Academy are regulated by Ofqual.

PURE GYM

Pure Gym, the UK’s leading gym operator and PT Academy have launched the Pure Gym Academy, a partnership that has seen Pure Gym open up its 200 sites accross the UK in order to train new personal trainers. The partner ship will see an increase in the number of PT Academy courses available nationwide.

EXERCISE REGISTER

REPS

Launced in 2002, REPs is an independent, public register which recognises the qualifications and expertise of health-enhancing exercise instructors in the UK. REPs provides a system of regulation for instructors and trainers to ensure that they meet the health and fitness industry’s agreed national Occupational standards.

NCFE

NCFE is one of the UKs oldest awarding organisations, established over 150 years ago. NCFE are recognised by OFQUAL and CCEA. NCFE is recognised for its professional yet friendly approach and are very much a values based company.

YMCA Awards

YMCA Awards is one of the most important organisations in the lives of anyone aspiring to a career in the active leisure sector. They have years of experience in developing industry-backed qualifications and are one of the world’s best known brands. YMCA issue around 20,000 Certificates awarded every year. Over 300 education providers deliver their qualifications, across 10 countries (Europe, Middle East and New Zealand) givving learners huge global brand recognition.

VTCT

VTCT is a government approved awarding orgnaisation that has been awarding regulated qualifications since 1962. With over 800 centres in the UK, VTCT is one of the largest and most successful awarding organisations.
